COPYRIGHT SOC’Y 359 (2024) Tom Rubin Chief of Intellectual Property and Content, Open AI Abstract On September 20, 2024, Tom Rubin, Chief of Intellectual Property and Content, OpenAI, gave the keynote for the 2024 Copyright + Technology Conference. He had previously presented the keynote at the Copyright + Technology Conference in 2011, when he was the Chief Intellectual Property Strategy Counsel at Microsoft. In his keynote speech, he discussed the many opportunities in the age of AI, including for journalism. Mr. Rubin spoke in his personal capacity; his views are not necessarily those of his employer.
