Playhouse Square (Cleveland’s Theatre District) is the second largest performing arts center in the United States—only New York City’s Lincoln Center is larger. #1 – Sports Fever

League Park and the Baseball Heritage Museum are a testament to Cleveland’s profound sporting legacy. The field witnessed iconic moments like Babe Ruth’s 500th career home run in 1929 and served as the home field for African American baseball team the Cleveland Buckeyes from 1942 to 1950.

The city also hosted the first three Temple Cup series games, and saw the debut of Alta Weiss, a pioneering female minor league baseball pitcher. Cleveland’s rich tapestry of sports history and contemporary entertainment for sports enthusiasts, including fans of the Cleveland Browns (NFL), Cleveland Guardians (MLB), and Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA), solidify its status as an American sports hub.
