She joined News Corp from NBCUniversal News, where, as Senior Vice President, Legal, she led a team handling complex commercial transactions for all NBCU News brands globally. She previously held legal roles at Reuters and Major League Baseball. Before moving to New York in 2014, she worked in London at The Walt Disney Company and AMC Networks International.

Ruth began her career as a corporate associate at Matheson in Dublin, one of Ireland’s leading commercial law firms, where she advised on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.

Ruth lives in Westchester with her wife, Olena, and their two young sons, Felix and Jasper. The family travels to Ireland often and is closely connected to the Irish community in New York. Ruth serves on the US Advisory Council of Barretstown, an Irish charity that runs camps and residential programs for children with serious illnesses
