Suemyra A. Shah is Head of Content Legal Affairs at Audible, where she leads the Content Legal team and serves as a senior strategic legal advisor across Audible’s global content business. A proven executive specializing in content, media, and entertainment law, Suemyra is known for her creative problem solving at the intersection of innovative storytelling and emerging formats.  With deep expertise in content rights, Suemyra has been at the forefront of some of Audible’s most complex and high-profile content deals, bringing sophisticated experience navigating adaptation rights, derivative works and the evolving landscape of technology and entertainment. Prior to Audible, she served as General Counsel to Team Whistle and began her career in private practice.  Suemyra earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Beyond her transactional work, she leads Audible’s Pro Bono program and is on the Board of LATTICE, a community for senior women in media and entertainment.
