About

Cecilia de la Campa serves as Executive Vice President, Global Media & Licensing at Writers House, the premier independently owned full-service literary agency based in New York. As a key member of the agency’s management board, Cecilia leads the global licensing team, overseeing international sales, translation deals, and new business initiatives focused on emerging technologies and the future of content creation. She spearheads the agency’s strategy for all media rights, including film, television, audio, and merchandising, driving expansion across multiple channels. Her dedication to creating new opportunities for authors and their work ensures that Writers House clients remain at the forefront of the ever-evolving intellectual property (IP) landscape.

Cecilia represents hundreds of bestselling and award-winning Writers House clients at all the major international book fairs (Frankfurt, Bologna, London, BEA, Guadalajara) and has been invited to take part in various global conferences including the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC), the US Publishing Mission to Cuba lead by Publishers Weekly, and the Shanghai CCBF Fellowship (SHVIP). She’s a regular speaker on industry panels and has presented at events hosted by Publisher’s Weekly, Global Kids Connect, New York Rights Fair, Bologna Rights Fair, Book Industry Study Group (BISG), Licensing Global, and the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA). She is a recurring guest lecturer at the Columbia Publishing Course and sat on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Media Group (WMG), as the group’s first ever Scholarship and Fellowship Chair, leading their expanded efforts to support women from underrepresented backgrounds as they begin and advance their media careers. A graduate of Williams College in Massachusetts, Cecilia worked for several years at Simon & Schuster before joining Writers House in 2009.
