Annesta Duodu is a Toronto-based lawyer who is both Associate Counsel to Music Canada, the trade association representing Canada’s major record labels, and CONNECT Music Licensing, a copyright collective that licenses the majority of sound recordings and music videos produced and distributed in Canada. Having studied music from a young age, she is passionate about the arts and the intersection of intellectual property and creative industries. Through her work, she advocates for a healthy and vibrant Canadian music ecosystem and negotiates licensing agreements on behalf of rightsholders, ensuring that they are compensated for the use of their music.
