Reese is Senior Counsel on Microsoft’s Open Innovation Counseling team within the Intellectual Property Group. His role involves providing strategic legal guidance to Microsoft’s engineering teams on critical matters such as copyright, artificial intelligence, data utilization, model development, regulatory compliance, and the management of confidential information, among other concerns.

Prior to joining the Open Innovation Counseling team, Reese was a member of the legal team that supports the Microsoft 365 engineering team that develops the enterprise Copilot and the Office Products.

Reese received his Juris Doctor University of California Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and BA in International Relations for the University of Washington.
