Veteran Business Affairs and Operations Executive
Ken Basin is a veteran business affairs and operations executive, recognized as a thought leader in dealmaking for original content development, production, and licensing across senior executive roles at Paramount Television Studios, Sony Pictures Television, and Amazon Studios. Recognized by Variety as one of “Hollywood’s New Leaders” and by The Hollywood Reporter in its annual “35 Under 35” feature, Ken most recently worked at Riot Games, where he helped launch Riot’s in-house film and TV content studio (leading all business and production operations) and executive produced the second season of the Emmy Award-winning Arcane. Ken is also an adjunct professor at Harvard Law School, and his writing has appeared in Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Puck, and The Ankler, as well as several scholarly legal journals. He is best known as the author of The Business of Television, the leading reference text for the television and streaming industries (referred to by many practitioners as “the bible of the TV business”), whose long-awaited second edition was published in September 2024.
