Lydia Starostina is Deputy General Counsel at Playrix, a leading mobile game developer and publisher. She runs the company’s global legal team with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, privacy, and intellectual property protection. Over more than eight years at Playrix, she has held a range of legal roles, including corporate governance, commercial and business support, and contract management, and she now supports the company across multiple regions.

Before Playrix, Lydia worked as an in house legal counsel in the tech sector, including digital entertainment and an online marketplace, where she focused on licensing, regulatory compliance, and advising commercial teams.

Lydia is qualified to practise law in Ireland, England and Wales, and Russia. She is especially interested in the use of AI in games and legal operations and is currently preparing for the IAPP AIGP credential. Outside of work she is an enthusiastic gamer who gravitates toward RPGs. She lives in Dublin, Ireland, and appreciates the city for its natural beauty and the friendliness of its people.
