President at GiantSteps Media Technology Strategies
Bill Rosenblatt is president of GiantSteps Media Technology Strategies, a consulting firm focused on intellectual property issues in the digital age. GiantSteps’ clients include content providers and digital media technology companies, ranging from early stage startups to multinationals, as well law and public policy entities and investment firms worldwide. Bill is also an adjunct professor in the Music Business program at NYU. He has served as an expert witness in litigations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe related to copyright and digital media technologies, and he has advised public policy entities on digital copyright issues internationally. Bill is co-author (with Howie Singer) of the book Key Changes: The Ten Times Technology Transformed the Music Industry (Oxford University Press, 2023). He is the program chair of the Copyright + Technology conferences with the Copyright Society. He has spoken at conferences on five continents and has guest lectured at various universities and law schools. Bill has degrees in computer science from Princeton and the University of Massachusetts. He is a trustee of Princeton Broadcasting Service, Inc., and a member of the advisory board of the American Society for Collective Rights Licensing.
