Move aside Tonys! The Copyright Society has assembled EGOT worthy panelists to discuss authorship through the lens of musicals. Musicals provide a unique insight into the contours of authorship. As a collaborative artform, musicals can be a byproduct of many creative contributions from a variety of artists. Consequently, musicals serve as an outstanding case study to examine sole authorship, joint authorship, lack of authorship and a proverbial “black hole” of copyright. Please join this amazing discussion with panelists Dale Cendali of Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, Lita Rosario-Richardson of Shulman Rogers LLP and Don Franzen of UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and moderated by Rom Bar-Nissim of The Law Offices of Lincoln Bandlow P.C.
