Public Copyright Licenses: What Are They and Who Uses Them?

When: February 24, 2017 at 12:45pm - 2:00pm EST - This event has passed

There are several publicly available licenses for copyrighted works which facilitate the distribution of those works in an increasingly global and inter-connected community. This program would address the basic terms and conditions of these public copyright licenses, including explaining how the licenses are consummated, how they work in practice, the limitations on their use, and common issues that may arise from their use.

New York Chapter Brown Bag Lunches are casual discussions on a range of copyright topics. Brown Bag Lunches provide ample opportunity for audience participation. In true brown-bag spirit, no food or drinks will be provided, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own. We keep the admission fee modest to encourage attendance by new or solo practitioners and law students, but all are welcome!
