Practicing Copyright Law In-House: An Insider’s Perspective

Copyright law is constantly evolving in an attempt to keep pace with technological developments. Where the law has not evolved fast enough, there is uncertainly that arises from applying old laws to unforeseen ways of distributing and consuming content. This poses particular challenges to in-house lawyers who are forced to make complicated decisions in a fast-paced environment. This panel will address the types of copyright issues being confronted by in-house lawyers on a day-to-day basis and provide perspective on how companies are addressing those issues. The panel also will discuss how outside counsel can help in-house attorneys navigate these rough waters.
