NW Chapter: Copyright Issues in China — Exploring the Chinese Experience with Open Licensing February 18, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm « Rocky Mountain Chapter: Copyright Trolls and Presumptively Fair Uses TX Chapter: Inaugural Meeting – Copyright Damages (Roundtable Discussion) » The Copyright Society of the USA, Pacific Northwest Chapter is sponsoring a brown bag lunch discussion with Dr. Chunyan Wang, Associate Professor, Renmin University of China Law School, and Visiting Scholar, UW School of Law, on copyright issues in China, particularly the Chinese experience with open licensing. Since 2005, Professor Wang has been acting as Project Lead of Creative Commons China Mainland, where she managed the official launch of Creative Commons in China and is responsible for translating, localizing and promoting the China version of the Creative Commons licenses. Professor Wang will address existing copyright practices in China and discuss the impact of open licensing there.
