As the creative world struggles to find new sources of revenue to offset
declining sales, several enterprises have turned to copyright litigation as a
revenue model and deterrent method – known popularly as “copyright
trolling.” But what are the consequences to copyright when litigation is
brought solely as a revenue stream? Are such litigation tactics ethical? This
presentation reviews some recent examples of such lawsuits, and explores their
greater consequences.
