Copyright Law for Photographers

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

What are the best ways to protect your photographs in the age of social media? Do you understand the difference between copyright, trademark, and the right to privacy? What can you do if you see one of your photographs used on a website without your permission?  Can you take a photograph of someone else’s street art or public art and use it in your own work?

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Copyright Society will present for the Palmer Divide Photographers on September 9, 2019, for a great opportunity to learn from a copyright expert on current legal issues relevant to photographers. Speaker Shirin Chahal is an intellectual property and small business law attorney in Colorado, who serves those in the arts and entertainment industries and has handled a wide range of photography- and design-related matters for her clients.
