Advancing Your Career in Copyright Law

When: October 28, 2016 at 12:30pm - 2:00pm EDT - This event has passed

Copyright is one of the most exciting and rapidly changing fields of intellectual property. A career in copyright provides individuals with the ability to work in areas such as law, media, and entertainment.

Put together by the New York Chapter, this panel features Jennifer Pariser of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), Brad Harris of J.Crew, and Jason Jones of Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, P.C., three attorneys who have focused and advanced their careers in a specific area of copyright. The panel will provide insight about working in copyright, navigating the field, achieving a specific position and how individuals can advance their copyright careers.

New York Chapter Brown Bag Lunches are casual discussions on a range of copyright topics. Brown Bag Lunches provide ample opportunity for audience participation. In true brown-bag spirit, no food or drinks will be provided, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own. We keep the admission fee modest to encourage attendance by new or solo practitioners and law students, but all are welcome!
