Open to all copyright professionals and enthusiasts, the Florida Chapter of the Copyright Society is a premier resource for information about copyright law and for networking with practitioners, educators and artists in the area. In 2019, the Chapter hosted a panel for members called Copyright Career Conversation: Copyright and Entertainment Law in the Southeast. Fast forward to 2021, when the Chapter offered a webinar on Runway Rights: Fashion, Make-up and Body Art!

Sue Kalman

Sue Kalman is the Director of Business & Legal Affairs for The FJH Music Company Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Founded in 1988 by print music veteran, Frank J. Hackinson (founder of Columbia Pictures Publications) and his family, FJH is one of the premier educational music publishers in North America. As a corporate securities attorney in Los Angeles, California before moving to Florida, Sue counseled corporate clients in public and private capital finance transactions, predominantly in the specialty finance, telecommunications, high technology, and retail market sectors. Prior to practicing law, Sue was a bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and was the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship to West Berlin, Germany. Sue earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in International Relations and German Area Studies at Tufts University and her law degree, cum laude, at Suffolk University Law School.
