Wenwen Zeng

Wenwen Zeng is a partner in Tian Yuan Law Firm’s Entertainment & Media, and Cybersecurity and Data Innovation practice based in Beijing. Ms. Zeng is the Director of Foreign Legal Affairs Committee of Beijing Culture & Entertainment Law Society, a member of the Culture & Tourism Professional Committee of Beijing Bar Association, Expert of Law Committee of China TV Drama Production Industry Association, and arbitrator of Changsha Film, Television & Culture Arbitration Committee.  Ms. Zeng advises studios, media companies, production companies, investors and financiers, investment funds, and talents on a full spectrum of legal issues in entertainment sectors, primarily on legal matters including: IP protection, content licensing and rights acquisition; project financing, M&A and funds establishment in entertainment and tourism industry.  She also offers strategic and innovative legal advice that is crucial for helping clients navigate the ever-evolving legal landscape of cybersecurity and data protection.  Ms. Zeng was formerly an independent film producer, scriptwriter and novelist. Her productions have been screened in over 70 international film festivals and won international acclaim. She was selected as one of 20 emerging film producers from 15 ASEM countries to participate 6th Asia-Europe Film Meeting in Brussels. As a scriptwriter, she was selected into Screenwriters’ Lab of Sundance Institute, USA. As a producer, she was selected into Producers Lab of Rotterdam International Film Festival.  Ms. Zeng was awarded LEGALBAND China Law Award “Client Choice: Top 15 Compliance Versatile Practitioners” in 2022.  She holds an LL.B from Peking University and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.  She is a P.R.C. Lawyer and is also admitted to the New York Bar.
