Susan Moultrie is Senior Vice President of Artist Initiatives & Business Administration at Sony Music Entertainment (SME) where she oversees SME’s transparency and artist support activities around the world, including the company’s Artists Forward initiative, which prioritizes comprehensive support for music creators in all aspects of their career development. As part of these efforts, she administers Sony Music’s Artist Assistance program, providing global on-roster talent with access to valuable career information as well as wellness offerings such as free, confidential counseling services in over 70 languages. In addition, Susan is involved with joint venture label activity, new business development support and business administration matters.

Prior to returning to SME in 2021, Susan used her business acumen to provide both financial and operational guidance to several major entertainment companies. When she was last at SME, Susan was in the Business Affairs/A&R Administration division, where she worked with numerous divisions and held several positions, one of which was to serve as the Def Jam Records’ liaison. Susan also worked with Epic Records, where she oversaw the Urban division’s strategic development, operational and business activities. Susan’s prior tenure at SONY/SONY BMG spanned more than fifteen years.

Outside of Sony, Susan has overseen the finance, operations and strategy of various entities, generally in the role of COO/CFO. The entities have included NYLON Media, Combs Enterprises/Bad Boy Entertainment Group, Bankable Enterprises (Tyra Banks), Uptown Records, Prager Metis (Business Management division), LDG (Lighting Design Group) as well as smaller, more entrepreneurial companies (music festivals, a digital music distribution company, an influencer agency, SAAS entities, etc.).

Susan has been recognized in Variety’s 2022 Power of Women edition and was an honoree on the Billboard Women in Music list of 2024.

A Los Angeles native, Susan received her Bachelor of Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Southern California and earned her MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
