Matthew Moore

Matthew Moore is General Counsel at Created by Humans, a platform on a mission to preserve human creativity and help it continue to thrive by working to solve the licensing, credit, and compensation issues in the AI era. Matthew has been a trusted legal leader for innovative, high-growth companies for more than a decade and has over 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment industries.  He is the former Chief Legal Officer at Influential (which recently sold to Publicis Groupe), Senior Counsel and Assistant General Counsel at BuzzFeed, and Director of Legal & Business Affairs at BMI. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School where he received the graduation prize for entertainment law and is admitted to the New York and Vermont State Bars. Prior to practicing law, Matthew spent nearly a decade in the music business, his last position being the COO and Director of Business & Legal Affairs at a boutique music publishing and royalty auditing firm. Moore is a proud member of the Copyright Society and The City Bar’s Copyright and Literary Property Committee, a published author, diehard music fan, and occasional NYC DJ.
