Lisette Torres

Lisette Torres is a rising third-year J.D. candidate at Southwestern Law School with a strong interest in copyright, intellectual property, technology, and entertainment law. She serves as President of Southwestern’s Intellectual Property Law Society, where she leads initiatives that connect students with practitioners and foster engagement in emerging issues affecting intellectual property law. Lisette is also actively involved with the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association’s Law School Outreach and Women in IP Committees.

Through her externships and clerkships in medical technology, commercial transactions, and various types of law, Lisette has developed experience in legal research, drafting, and client advocacy. She is particularly interested in the evolving intersection of copyright, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Lisette is excited to contribute to the Copyright Society’s mission by collaborating with practitioners, supporting educational initiatives, and advancing thoughtful discussions on the future of copyright law.
