Lauren Simmonds Director & Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property Netflix Lauren Simmonds is Counsel in the Intellectual Property group at Netflix. She manages the Document Recordation & Copyright Registration team and provides complex chain of title advice on all domestic productions, including film, animation, and series. In her role, she advises on copyright issues related to the acquisition of underlying rights, termination and reversion, duration of protection, and copyright administration. Prior to joining Netflix, Lauren worked in the Intellectual Property group at NBCUniversal for five years. Lauren is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D. 2013) and Boston University.
