Lauren Chamblee Assistant General Counsel, Open Innovation (Intellectual Property Group) Microsoft Lauren Chamblee is Assistant General Counsel on Microsoft’s Open Innovation team in the Intellectual Property Group tackling complex legal issues around copyright and AI, scaling responsible data use, and protecting trade secrets and confidential information in collaborative, innovative environments. In short, Lauren works across Microsoft’s business units to address the company’s high priority data, copyright, and trade secret issues, among others. Lauren joined Microsoft after nearly a decade in the Intellectual Property, Media, and Technology group of a leading global law firm where she handled copyright and trademark litigation and disputes, managed IP portfolios and provided client counseling services across various industries. Lauren’s intellectual curiosity and aptitude for orchestrating solutions to complex problems led her to a career in law. Lauren attended the Yale Law School and earned a B.A. from Notre Dame in political science and French with a minor in anthropology.
