Kerry Mustico serves as Senior Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs at the National Music Publishers’ Association. Kerry manages NMPA’s copyright infringement litigation brought on behalf of NMPA members, including major publishers and large and small independent publishers. Kerry also negotiates model industry license agreements and settlements with digital and other service providers and supports NMPA’s overall legislative and policy initiatives. Kerry designed and implemented a DMCA-takedown program targeting unauthorized music on X (formerly Twitter) and oversees the music publishers’ litigation against the platform. In addition, Kerry has negotiated agreements with TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch, and Equinox, among others.

Prior to joining NMPA in 2019, Kerry was Senior Counsel with Oppenheim & Zebrak, a boutique law firm specializing in complex copyright, anti-piracy, and Internet-related matters. Throughout her twenty years as a litigator, she represented clients in the publishing, entertainment, retail, and technology industries. Kerry has represented numerous content owners in copyright infringement actions resulting in multi-million-dollar judgments and broad injunctive relief. While in private practice, Kerry also focused on working with clients to develop and implement anti-piracy enforcement strategies. Prior to Oppenheim & Zebrak, Kerry was Counsel at Crowell & Moring in Washington, DC, and previously was a litigation associate in the New York offices of WilmerHale and Lovells (now HoganLovells).

Kerry is a member of the District of Columbia, New York, and Massachusetts bars. Kerry earned her BA from James Madison University and her JD from Fordham University School of Law
