Jay Kogan

Jay Kogan is SVP Legal for DC, a Warner Bros. Discovery company.  In this capacity, Jay supervises the DC Legal team, provides guidance on all aspects of the DC Comics and MAD magazine business, and he plays a critical role in the management of DC’s intellectual property. 

An active member of the Copyright Society, Jay was a past chair of the New York Chapter, a former Society Secretary and on the Board of Trustees, as well as on the planning committees for 2014 Annual and the 2019 Mid-Year Meetings.   Jay also served as an adjunct professor at New York Law School; Purchase College; NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies; and the College of New Rochelle.  Jay received his J.D. and a Master’s in Mass Media from Boston University and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut.
