Jan van Voorn is the Executive Vice President and Chief of Global Content Protection for the Motion Picture Association (MPA) and Head of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the world’s leading anti-piracy coalition, whose more than 50 global member organizations include content creators, studios, sports companies and distributors.

With more than a decade of intellectual property enforcement experience, Jan currently leads the MPA’s global content protection team, who work around the clock to protect the dynamic legal market and reduce digital piracy. The team works directly with MPA members in defining their global enforcement strategy to uphold the creativity and innovation that drive the entertainment industry and to protect jobs throughout the industry’s ecosystem. Jan also orchestrates the team’s liaisons with the MPA’s branch/partner programs and law enforcement agencies around the world to deploy that strategy.

Jan is credited with building the MPA’s global enforcement hub with offices in Asia-Pacific, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States.

Prior to joining the MPA, Jan had a career in law enforcement and led teams specialized in investigating and prosecuting organized and computer crimes.
