Dr. Eleonora Rosati is Of Counsel at international law firm Bird & Bird and Full Professor of Intellectual Property Law and Director of the Institute for Intellectual Property and Market Law (IFIM) at Stockholm University (Sweden). She holds visiting/guest professorships at Católica in Lisbon (Portugal), CEIPI in Strasbourg (France), and Glion Institute of Higher Education (Switzerland) and is an Associate of the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law at the University of Cambridge (UK). A long-standing contributor to The IPKat and an Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice (Oxford University Press), Eleonora is the author of several articles and books on IP issues, including – most recently – Copyright and the Court of Justice of the European Union (Oxford University Press:2019; second edition currently in press) and Copyright in the Digital Single Market – Article-by-Article Commentary to the Provisions of Directive 2019/790 (Oxford University Press:2021). She is also the editor of the Routledge Handbook of EU Copyright Law (Routledge:2021) and co-editor of Developments and Directions in Intellectual Property Law. Twenty Years of The IPKat (Oxford University Press:2023). Eleonora has been the recipient of accolades and prizes for her work in the IP field: in 2018, Managing Intellectual Property included her among the ’50 Most Influential People in IP’; in 2020, World Intellectual Property Review listed her among its ‘Influential Women in IP’; in 2022, she received the Adepi Award 2022 for her contribution to shaping the interpretation of IP law in Europe.
