Daniel Zohny Global Co-Head of Brand Protection Abion I am a highly experienced and qualified international intellectual property counsel with over 15 years of in-house and private practice experience. I’ve been leading a sizeable team of IP professionals for over 10 years and am very commercially minded, looking for business driven solutions. I hold dual qualifications as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) and U.S. attorney-at-law (NY) and a LL.M. in intellectual property law with distinction from Cardozo School of Law, New York City, USA. Prior to my in-house roles, I gained several years of experience in private practice mainly focussing on intellectual property, entertainment, commercial litigation and transactional/contract work in New York City. Today I predominantly focus on trademarks and copyrights including trademark portfolio management, brand protection and related matters. I have honed communication skills, am very reliable and accustomed to working on and with interdivisional and multinational teams. I am also responsible for the setup and implementation of elaborate onsite brand protection operations for FIFA’s competitions, including its marquee tournament, the FIFA World Cup™.
