Claudia Ray

Claudia Ray is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis’s New York office. She represents clients in copyright, trademark, trade secret, false advertising, and contract-related disputes across various industries, including technology, consumer products, financial services, transportation, manufacturing, entertainment/media, and fashion/apparel. Representative matters have involved such well-known IP assets as the Obama “Hope” poster, Harry Potter, Chuck Taylor All-Stars, Colgate Total, and Travelers’ red umbrella. She also advises on IP acquisition, protection and enforcement strategies. Claudia is an active member of various bar organizations, including the ABA’s AI Task Force and INTA’s Amicus Committee. She frequently lectures and publishes on IP issues.
