Games and Immersive Entertainment Attorney



Chrissie Scelsi is a games and immersive entertainment attorney based in Orlando, Florida.  Chrissie was previously U.S. General Counsel for Wargaming, an award-winning online game developer and publisher that is a leader in the free-to-play MMO market across PC, console, and mobile platforms.  While at Wargaming, she advised on intellectual property, social media, influencer relations, licensing, esports, and pretty much any question about what can be done with a tank. She has also served as a senior attorney at Universal Destinations and Experiences, where she worked on all things Halloween Horror Nights, including a house adapted after the game ‘The Last of Us.’

Chrissie was also previously Assistant Legal Counsel at Bohemia Interactive Simulations, Inc., where she supported game-based simulations software development for the VBS product, including open source and third-party software review, management and review of the company’s trademark portfolio, as well as terms and conditions and EULAs.  

Chrissie is the first woman president of the Video Game Bar Association.  She is co-editor of the book Computer Games and Immersive Entertainment: Next Frontiers in Intellectual Property Law (2nd Edition), as well as Computer Games and Virtual Worlds: A New Frontier in Intellectual Property Law, and is a chapter contributor to both editions of The American Bar Association’s Legal Guide to Video Game Development.  Ms. Scelsi earned an LL.M. in Entertainment and Media Law from Southwestern School of Law, a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, and a B.B.A. in marketing from Loyola University New Orleans.  She is licensed in Florida and Texas.
