Brian Harrison

Brian Harrison is an Appellate Court Attorney in the New York State Second Department Appellate Court. He provides comprehensive legal research and analysis to the justices who serve on the court, regarding the cases and matters appealed to the Second Department.

Brian earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where he gained hands-on experience in transactional law and intellectual property through the school’s clinics and Innovation Law Center. He also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics from the University of Ottawa.

Prior to attending law school, Brian worked as an economist for Statistics Canada, a part of the Canadian Federal Government. There he contributed to various projects over seven years, with most of his time spent working with consumer price data and the dissemination of the Canadian Consumer Price Index.

Admitted to the New York State Bar, Brian hopes to combine his personal interests in the arts and his professional interest in the law by pursuing a career in copyright and in art and museum law.
