Betty An Membership Committee Co-Chair, Copyright Society VP Intellectual Property, NBCUniversal Betty An is Vice President, Intellectual Property at NBCUniversal. In her role, she advises NBCUniversal’s various entertainment divisions regarding their ownership, derivative production, and ancillary rights in their television and theatrical motion picture properties. Her area of expertise is in copyright related issues that arise throughout the entire lifecycle of exploiting IP, including acquisition of new underlying material, complex chain of title review, termination and reversion, scope of the grant, and public domain status. Betty graduated UCLA School of Law with a specialization in Entertainment, Media, and Intellectual Property Law and has an undergraduate degree in Business Economics from UCLA.
