Arnetta C. Girardeau Arnetta C. Girardeau is the Copyright and Information Policy Consultant at Duke University Libraries. She provides expertise on the licensing, privacy, and transactional issues related to academic libraries, archives, and special collections. She is also particularly sought out by faculty, staff, and students regarding their instruction, research, and academic publishing. She provides individual consultations and Responsible Conduct of Research seminars addressing the complex intersection of United States copyright law, regulatory requirements, institutional policies, scholarly norms, and publisher/vendor agreements. She holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University, a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, and a Master of Library and Information Science from Florida State University. Her prior library roles include both law school and public libraries; her legal experience includes practice as an associate with the firm of Rogers Towers and service as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville, Florida.
