The Annual Meeting is our largest event of the year, drawing members of the copyright community from across the U.S. and beyond.

Over two and a half days, attendees engage in a discourse on the legal and business issues at the forefront of copyright and intellectual property. Most sessions offer CLE credit, while meals, networking events and recreational activities provide plenty of opportunities to connect with old friends and make new ones.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • A View from the Copyright Office, a yearly report from the U.S. Register of Copyrights
  • Robert Clarida and Thomas Kjellberg’s Annual Round-Up of Cases
  • An International Chapter lunch before the Meeting’s official start
  • A host/hostee program and special reception for new attendees
  • The Copyright Softball Classic, Kate McKay Tennis Open and other fun activities taking advantage of the local setting
  • The presentation of the Volunteer of the Year and Seton Awards

Attendees include professionals from the world’s leading IP firms and the entertainment and media industries, solo practitioners, in-house counsel, the authors of primary copyright law treatises, representatives of the U.S. Copyright Office, WIPO and USPTO, publishers, academics and law students.

The Annual Meeting is open to Copyright Society Members as well as nonmembers, but a member discount is offered, as well as one-day panel passes and special rates for academics and students. Guest tickets for meals and receptions are available.
