Marlena Fitzpatrick Labor and Talent Relations Lead The WNET Group Marlena Fitzpatrick is a labor relations veteran with over 15 years of experience with entertainment unions. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Bilingual Creative Writing from the University of Texas, El Paso, and a Master of Arts degree in Labor Relations from Interamerican. She is the Vice President of the Student Bar Association at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, where she is a JD candidate, class 2027. Marlena also advocates for music creators as the NY-14 District Advocate for the Recording Academy. She previously worked at SAG-AFTRA as the Spanish Language Industry Relations Manager in 2008. In 2016, she was the Musical Theater Business Agent at AFM Local 802 and in 2020 she represented Wall Street Journal journalists at IAPE/ CWA. Marlena is a published writer with bylines in Uforia Music, Alternet, The Latino Newsletter, The Huffington Post, and NPR Latino USA. She is a member of the Latin and National Recording Academy, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Media Law Resource Center.
