Jacques Rimokh

Jacques Rimokh is Senior Counsel, Copyright at NBCUniversal. In his role, Jacques advises NBCUniversal’s various entertainment divisions regarding their ownership, derivative production, and ancillary rights in their television and theatrical motion picture properties. He also advises on the acquisition of new underlying material, including complex chain of title review and drafting advice. His area of expertise is in copyright issues that arise throughout the entire lifecycle of the IP, including termination and reversion, scope of the grant, fair use, and public domain status. He also oversees the Copyright Registration and Recordation practice for the Filmed Entertainment and TV Groups of NBCUniversal. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Jacques was a partner in Loeb & Loeb, LLP’s Intellectual Property and Entertainment Litigation Department. Jacques has litigated scores of copyright and trademark cases in courts throughout the United States for high-profile clients in the entertainment and music industries, including major motion picture studios, music publishers, recording companies and major advertising agencies. Jacques received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
