This session will discuss how social media user’s perceptions, understanding, and respect for copyright law and copyrighted works has changed. With ease, a social media user can upload music, overlay a sound recording, screen grab, and stream, the social media platforms seem to be built on copyright infringement. Topics to be considered are: attribution as a cure-all, transformative and fan works, licensing models, and terms and conditions.
