Garrett Levin is Senior IP Law & Policy Officer on IP & Frontier Technologies at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), where he helps lead work on cutting-edge issues at the intersection of IP law and policy and emerging technologies, including AI.

Before joining WIPO, Garrett was the President and CEO of the Digital Media Association (DiMA)—representing the world’s leading music streaming services. Previously, he led IP law and policy at the National Association of Broadcasters, and was a staff member on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where he worked on IP, telecommunications, competition law, and consumer protection issues. He also previously served as an international and domestic copyright policy attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, as well as a litigator at the law firm Jenner & Block. Before his legal career, Garrett edited award-winning documentaries.

Garrett graduated with a B.F.A. in Film & Television Production from New York University. He holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, as well as an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Duke.
