International Association of Entertainment Lawyers to Host Annual Legal Summit at ADE

We are looking forward to our International Conference in Berlin on October 14-16, 2023.  We also are coordinating with the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (the “IAEL”) which will host its annual IAEL Legal Summit at ADE in Amsterdam a few days later October 19-20.

Jeff Liebenson, our longtime Copyright Society member, is President of the IAEL which is comprised of top entertainment lawyers around the world. The IAEL’s Legal Summit program this year will feature a MasterClass on AI in the Entertainment Industry, a Legal Update on emerging legal developments in the key markets around the world, and a panel discussion of their annual IAEL book on licensing rights in the new digital economies, which will be released at the Legal Summit.

ADE is the pre-eminent annual music festival for the electronic music industry. It presents numerous music events throughout Amsterdam and attracted a record 450,000 visitors last year. ADE’s Pro Conference presents a variety of programs including the IAEL Legal Summit which are attended by record labels, music publishers and other industry professionals.

In that the IAEL event in Amsterdam is a few days after our International Conference in Berlin, we thought many Copyright Society members may wish to attend both events while they are in Europe.
