Kayvan Ghaffari

Kayvan Ghaffari is General Counsel at MakersPlace, a premier digital final arts marketplace. In addition to his GC role, Kayvan serves as an advisor for a number of organizations, including Code to Inspire, which is committed to educating female students in Afghanistan and improving their technical literacy by teaching them how to code.

Prior to joining MakersPlace, Kayvan was an attorney at two global law firms, practicing technology and cybersecurity litigation and counseling. Kayvan’s areas of emphasis include bet-the-company technology-related litigation, involving cybersecurity and digital crimes, blockchain/cryptocurrency, copyright, trademark, and patent disputes, and complex commercial matters. Kayvan also had a robust technology counseling practice with a focus on advising and assessing risk relating to technology business models, product designs and product launches, including strategizing with clients to mitigate liability under intellectual property, Internet, and financial regulations for cryptocurrency clients.
